IND AUS Chennai Weather Report for 3rd ODI –
On Wednesday, thunderstorms, mild to moderate rain, and gusty gusts (30–40 kmph) are extremely likely in the majority of Chennai. Chennai could have one or two periods of rain on the match day. Nevertheless, early weather predictions for Wednesday, March 22, were for a sunny and muggy day with a high of 32 degrees Celsius, but that low would drop to 29 degrees in the evening.
Meanwhile, the three-match ODI series is leveled at 1-1. Both teams will look forward to winning the series by winning the third ODI. India registered a 5-wicket win against Australia in the series opener at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 17.
However, Steve Smith-led Australia bounced back in the second ODI at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium to level the series. Mitchell Starc’s five-wicket haul bundled out India for a paltry 117. Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head scored unbeaten fifties to help Australia seal a thumping 10-wicket win with 39 overs to spare.
Now, the two sides will clash at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where they have met twice. First in an ODI in 1987, where Australia sealed a 1-run win. And most recently in 2017, when India registered a 26-run win in rain interrupted match.
Team India has played 13 ODIs at this venue and has a mixed record. They won 7 and lost 5, while one match ended in no result. In the most recent ODI in 2019, India suffered an 8-wicket loss to West Indies.
