Shahid Afridi: Fans give mixed reaction to Afridi’s signing on India flag Asia Lions to face World Giants in the finals
Not only the Pakistani fans but Indian fans were also left mighty impressed with Afridi’s lovely gesture. However, a few fans felt it is against the code of conduct and called him illiterate. The two countries have a strained relationship and are always at loggerheads. The former Pakistan captain’s act has taken the internet by storm.
Speaking about the game, India Maharajas were no match to the Lions as they were outplayed with bat and ball. Batting first, the Lions amassed 191 for 5 on the back of Upal Tharanga’s fifty and Hafeez’s 38 runs. In reply, Maharajas could not get going and were bundled out for 106.
Lions will square off against World Giants in the finals of LLC 2023. The Giants enter the finals after their superb triumph over Asia Lions in the group stage encounter of LLC. The Giants’ heroics at the plate from Jacques Kallis and Hashim Amla allowed them to surpass the 150-run threshold. Asia Lions lost the match by 20 runs after responding with only 130 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
