MLC 2023 Draft: Major League Cricket: Unmukt Chand – Former Under-19 captain Unmukt Chand is picked up by LA knight Riders in the Major Cricket League (MLC) 2023 draft. After Big Bash League (BBL) stint, Chand was taken with the second pick in round 2 in the player auction on March 19. Apart from Chand, Corey Anderson and Aaron Finch are also the other high-profile names that were picked up in the auction. MLC 2023 Draft: Finch to lead SF Unicorns, Harmeet Singh creates history, becomes the first player to sign by Seattle Orcas

Finch will also lead SF Unicorns in the first-ever edition of Major League Cricket. Liam Plunkett will also play for Unicorns. Apart from Chand, Harmeet Singh became the second Indian to play in MLC. The former Inder-19 player also created history as he became the first-ever player to be signed by Seattle Orcas. Meanwhile, DC Freedom have signed Anrich Nortje as an overseas player. Two Pakistani players Hammad Azam and Mukhtar Ahmed will also play for DC Freedom.

Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga became the first Lankan player to be picked up by DC Freedom. Aussie all-rounders Stoinis and Mitchell Marsh will play for Unicorns and Seattle Orcas respectivley.
