Manchester United Transfer: Every young footballer dreams of playing in a top-tier league like the Premier League or La Liga in their career. However, when you see opportunities are at your gate and then you find yourself locked inside, it’s a heartbreak moment. The same happened with the young sensation Mohammed Kudus, who currently plays for Ajax. Now he has opened up about the last summer’s failed transfer and upcoming moves. Last summer Mohammed Kudus was linked to Premier League side Everton. Unfortunately, the transfer failed as Ajax didn’t wanted to lose yet another player after watching several players leave in a single transfer window. Big names like Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Antony, Sebastian Haller, Daley Blind, and many others left Ajax last year, leaving the management team to fill a big void in the squad.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder stayed in Amsterdam but was heartbroken. He said, “The fact that Ajax blocked a transfer to Everton last summer disappointed me. I thought it was time for a new chapter in my career because I wasn’t playing here. But the moment the transfer market closed, my full focus was back on Ajax. The only reason I wanted to leave before that was because of my reserve role. I eliminated that problem myself.”
He also revealed, that Everton not doing well in the league and Ajax still in the title race, is a good sign that he didn’t made the move. However, after a stunning season at Ajax, he is linked again with a big move to Premier League this summer.
Mohammed Kudus to Manchester United?
Despite having several attacking options, Manchester United are interested in the Ghanaian international. Kudus has scored 11 goals this season in 25 games in the league, but he struggled to find game time under Erik Ten Hag, current Manchester United manager.

When asked about the possible reunion, Kudus said, “I am very happy at Ajax at the moment, but I will be even happier if we win the double. Why wouldn’t I want to renew? I play and develop well. Now it’s about negotiation and valuation. When the time is right, we’ll see how it goes. But that will have to be conducted with my agent. I want to focus entirely on the title race.”
United will try to land the 22-year-old at Old Trafford next summer but it totally depends on what they have to offer, game time, and Ajax’s run this season. Ajax are currently 2nd in the league, 3 points behind Feyenoord.
