Ten Hag spoke to reporters and said: “I just met them, we shake hands, I’m focused on the game, we play a big game on Sunday, all our focus is on that, others in the club are dealing with potential investors.”
He also added, “My job in this moment is focus on the game so let’s talk about the game, it’s a big tie and we have to get ready for that.”
Ineos’ director of sport Sir Dave Brailsford also joined Ratcliffe for the Carrington trip. Brailsford also had a chat with Erik ten Hag. The Man United boss didn’t meet another bidder Sheikh Jassim due to the Europa League fixture.
Man United will likely to get a new owner from either Sheikh Jassim or Ratcliffe. Both are the clear frontrunners for the job. Sheikh Jassim is looking to increase his bid. They last placed a £5bn bid for the club.
