The 22-year old Rodrigues is one of DC’s top run scorers in the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL 2023). The right-handed batter has a strike rate of 136.14 and has accumulated 113 runs in her first four innings with a highest score of 34. During the WPL auction last year, DC paid Rs 2.2 crore for her.
On Thursday, March 16, the Meg Lanning-led Delhi Capitals will play their next game in Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium against the Gujarat Giants. DC is ranked second in the WPL 2023 points standings with four victories in five games. They will now try to secure their playoff spot with another victory.
In a thrilling final over, DC defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to win their previous match by six wickets. Table-toppers Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated The Giants by 55 runs in the meantime. The two teams’ most recent match was on March 11, which DC won by a lone margin of 10 wickets.
