McGregor’s total earnings come from fight purses and UFC pay-per-view bonuses. It has been estimated that the Irish superstar earned more than $100 million after his fight against Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

McGregor has also made a fortune off of endorsement and sponsorship deals with companies like Beats by Dre, Reebok, Monster Energy, and Burger King.

The former two-division UFC champion also received a large sum of money through the sale of a controlling interest in his Proper No. 12 whisky brand to Proximo Spirits in a deal estimated to be worth approximately $600 million. McGregor also shared the earnings with his partners, but he still made out well for a business he launched in 2018.

When McGregor makes his long-awaited return to the UFC, perhaps against Michael Chandler in 2023, he will be in line for another massive payout.

Mayweather reportedly earned $1.1 billion adjusted up to $1.41 billion for his lifetime, placing him at No. 8 on the list of highest-paid boxers. Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao, George Foreman, Oscar De La Hoya, Evander Holyfield, and Canelo Alvarez are all ahead of him on the all-time record.

Michael Jordan, a legend of the National Basketball Association, tops the list of highest-earning athletes with an adjusted earnings total of $3.3 billion. Jordan’s lucrative shoe deal with Nike, signed 20 years after he retired from basketball, continues to generate significant revenue for both parties.
