Highest Attendance in Cricket Match: Crowds turn up in huge numbers to support team India, PM Narendra Modi, & counterpart Anthony Albanese watch day of the Test match
For the unversed, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his counterpart Anthony Albanese are also in attendance to watch day one of the Ahmedabad Test match between India and Australia. Initially, tickets were locked out for day one due to the presence of two dignitaries. However, Gujarat Cricket Association released tickets on day one, and fans have responded by turning it out in huge numbers in the stadium. Before the match, Modi and Albanese also took a ride ‘bat-mobile’ and waved at the 1,00000 lakh fans present at the stadium.
This is not the first time ever that over 1,00000 people have turned up at Narendra Modi Stadium. During the IPL 2022 final between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals, over 1,00000 lakh crowds watched the match making it the highest-ever attendance in a cricket match in T20.
