Bill Gates announced his India visit on social media a couple of days ago. Taking to Twitter he wrote that India gives him hope for the future to solve big challenges. In the recent ‘Gatesnotes’ blog, he said that he was excited to visit India and it will be his first time after covid-19 pandemic. The focus of his visit will be mainly to see the work done by entrepreneurs and innovators.
Gates wrote that his aim was to reduce the inequities in the world. Climate change and global health are closely linked. Gates further wrote in his blog that the Gates Foundation, the Indian public sector, and CGIAR institutions are working on projects including threats to chickpea plants. They have found a solution that makes chickpea variants that are drought resistant with higher yields.

Having made major contributions to Indian cricket during his playing days, Sachin Tendulkar will now be given a special by Mumbai Cricket Association. A life-sized statue of the Legendary cricketer will be installed at Wankhede Stadium expected to be unveiled on April 24, 2023. Sachin and his wife, Anjali Tendulkar, visited the iconic Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday (February 28) to finalize the statue’s location.

Speaking of the surprise Tendulkar stated that he had unforgettable memories in Wankhede Stadium, and it is a pleasant surprise for him. Speaking to ANI he said, “Well, it’s a pleasant surprise. The president is here, Mr. Kale and the other committee members are going to join us in a while. We’ve come here to identify a spot. The idea was shared with me, and as I said it is a pleasant surprise. My career had started here and this is like the completion of a big circle”
