It was a houseful at the Wembley Stadium as the Manchester United and Newcastle United fans took over for the Carabao Cup final on 26th February afternoon. As the cameras were capturing the ecstatic reactions of the thousands of fans, it stuck on a man looking exactly like the English actor, James Corden.

James Corden has expressed on multiple occasions that he follows football and he’s an avid West Ham United FC fan. He talks about his love for the club, tactical points made by the club, and more. He was even featured on the YouTube channel of the club. Hence, the uproar and confusion by the general population seems fair.

The game came with an equal fight from both sides. Both the teams had plenty of attacking opportunities with no shots on target. After the half hour mark, Manchester United received a free-kick for Newcastle United’s foul on Marcus Rashford. Luke Shaw took a beautiful free-kick which was then headed home by Casemiro.

The Magpies conceded their second of the match which put them further from the trophy only 6 minutes later. To make matters worse, it was an own goal which went into the net with a deflection from Sevn Botman. The game ended with a 2-0 win in the favor of Manchester United who won their first silverware under boss Erik Ten Hag.
