As per the report, Bumrah has not been feeling comfortable and he is staring at a potentially long hiatus. Given his injury record and the importance to the Indian team, the BCCI are opting for a safe opportunity. The Indian board is keen to have him ready for the 2023 World Cup. Asia Cup would be a welcome bonus should Bumrah race to a good batter.
