IND vs AUS: No rest for Shreyas Iyer as he spends time with KKR mates ahead of the IPL 2023 season
While the rest of the India players are on a six-day break after the victory in the second Test, Iyer decided to spend time with KKR buddies. With the right-hand batter also playing the ODI series against Australia starting on March 17, Iyer thought to use the six-day break by bonding with players and strategizing plans for the 16th season of IPL.
IPL 2023: KKR to kick off IPL 2023 season by playing a match against Punjab Kings
Kolkata Knight Riders will travel to Mohali to face off against Punjab Kings in their first game of the IPL 2023. Shreyas Iyer’s side will play their first home game at Eden Gardens against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 6. The two-time champions will play Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk on May 14, in MS Dhoni’s final home game.
The two-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders had a poor outing in the last concluded IPL season. Under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer, the Men in Purple and Gold started well. However, they lost their way in the middle and later part of the competition which resulted in their exit from the group stages of the tournament.
