It’s essential to point out that the Hyderabad-based team did not retain Kane Williamson in preparation of the auction or re-sign the Kiwi star during the bidding process. In November, Williamson ended his eight-year association with the Orange Army while captaining the Hyderabad team in the IPL 2022.
It is important to note that Markram led the Sunrisers Eastern Cape, a team owned by the Sun Group, to their first SA20 title in South Africa. In 12 innings, the Proteas batter scored 366 runs, including a century for the Eastern Cape.

The IPL recently released their schedule for the upcoming 2023 season. The 16th iteration of the competition will begin on March 31 with a match between the defending champion Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. On April 2, Sunrisers Hyderabad will begin their IPL 2023 season.
