Prithvi Shaw Selfie Controversy: More trouble for Shaw, Sapna Gill files a fresh case

For the unversed, Shaw and his friend Ashish Surender Yadav lodged an FIR accusing Gill and her friends of physical assault and vandalizing their car. Following the FIR, Oshiwara police arrested Gill and 7 others in the case. As the case was heard on Monday, police charged her and three others under Indian Penal Code 143, 148, 149, 384, 437, 504, and 506.

However, since the offenses were bailable, the district court released the social media influencer, who now has filed a fresh case.

What exactly happened? – As per the copy of the FIR, Shaw and his friends were having dinner at the cafe at around 4 AM when Gill and her friends approached them for selfies. The Delhi Capitals star obliged with a few but as Gill & Co kept insisting, Shaw refused. Shaw said he had come with his friend for dinner and did not want to be disturbed.

Prithvi Shaw’s friend called the manager of the hotel and complained about Gill’s group. As the manager asked them to leave. While they left, when Shaw and his friend were exiting the hotel, they saw the group vandalizing Shaw’s friend’s BMW car. Videos showed that a baseball bat was inserted through the broken glass of the rear windows. The front window was also smashed.
