Great dinner, great conversations and a great evening.” Not only Gavaskar but former India coach Ravi Shastri shared a picture at Kapil Dev’s house. 1983 World Cup winners reunite The Kapil Dev-led team had beaten the West Indies team in the 1983 World Cup final at Lord’s. The likes of Sunil Gavaskar, Madan Lal, Mohinder Amarnath, Syed Kirmani (wk), Yashpal Sharma, Kirti Azad, Roger Binny, Sandeep Patil, Kris Srikkanth and Balwinder Sandhu were all part of the playing XI that played the final.
In the finals West Indies who won the toss and asked India in to bat first.The Kapil Dev-led side could only put 183 on the board after which they bowled out West Indies for 140 as India won the match by 43 runs

After Ashwin’s heroics with the ball in 1st innings, Ravindra Jadeja’s seven-wicket haul in the second innings helped India beat Australia by 6 wickets. Australia were all out on 113 in the 1st session of Day 3. India have now taken a 2-0 lead in the four-match series after their win on Sunday. Jadeja claimed a career-best 7-42 and was supported by Ravichandran Ashwin who finished with figures of 3-59in their second innings.
Chasing 115 in the 4th innings, KL Rahul departed early after Lyon got lucky. Virat Kohli |was stumped out for the first time in his career. Shreyas Iyer looked to finish the match early by playing big shots but was removed by Lyon. While Rohit Sharma was run out after a terrible misunderstanding with Pujara. However, Pujara stayed till the end and carried the team past the finish line.
