Sudeepa grabbed the ball while stooping to his knees, but the batter dove back into the crease. Sudeep removed the bails from the stumps as he stood up and appealed for the stumping. Because the batter was inside the crease, the appeal was rejected, but his attempt split the internet giggling.

Although Kiccha Sudeepa is no longer the captain of the Karnataka Bulldozers, he still serves as the team’s motivation. The superstar set an excellent example for his team, many of whom had already participated in the Celebrity Cricket League, by keeping wickets and opening one innings as well. The Bengal Tigers were defeated by the Karnataka Bulldozers with eight wickets remaining.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Bengal Tigers scored 73/8 in the first set of 10 overs. The Bulldozers then followed up with 93/5, giving them a 20 run lead. Returning to bat, the Tigers needed a strong performance to hold off the Karnataka side, but they ran out of gas at 76/6, setting their team’s captain Pradeep Bogadi and his teammates a target of 57 in 10 overs, which they easily chased.

In the Bulldozers’ first innings, Pradeep, who scored a half-century, was named man of the match. Golden Star Ganesh, playing in his maiden CCL game, was named best bowler after taking three important wickets and conceding only five runs in the process. In his spell, Nirup Bhandari too claimed three wickets, but at a somewhat higher cost—he gave away 16 runs. The team’s next game against the Kerala Strikers will take place in Jaipur the following weekend.
