Pant is currently recuperating from the severe vehicle accident he was involved in while he was travelling from Delhi to his birthplace of Roorkee on December 30. Fans and followers of Pant were surprised to see recent posts from the 25-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman showing him walking with crutches.
The player had not posted any images as an update since the accident with the vehicle. Across the entire country, Rishabh Pant’s fans were ecstatic to see him standing again. Also, he included the caption, “One step forward, One step stronger, One step better.”
Rishabh Pant is likely to miss the ODI World Cup as well due to his ailments, which appears to be a major setback to team India ahead of the major competition. He could be sidelined until the end of 2023. If that is the case, the Indian team will have a significant hole to fill as their top wicketkeeper will be missing. The 25-year-old’s recovery and return to team training will take at least 7-8 months. Pant’s absence from the IPL this year, where he serves as captain of the Delhi Capitals, will be significant.
