The four-time IPL champions had a poor season in IPL 2022. The Yellow Army had some leadership issues which resulted in them finishing in second last on the points table. However, CSK bagged several decent players in the IPL auction including England’s senior all-rounder Ben Stokes. CSK will be led by Thala MS Dhoni possibly for the one last time and they will be looking to make this season memorable for their long-serving veteran.
As mentioned above, the Yellow Army added some firepower in its squad by adding Ben Stokes and Ajinkya Rahane. The Yellow Army will also be boosted by the return of their star all-rounder Deepak Chahar. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ambati Rayudu and Moeen Ali will have the responsibility with the bat to do the bulk of scoring.
