IND vs AUS: David Warner – David Warner is not letting bad form get into him at least for time being. The southpaw went on a shopping spree in Delhi and clicked a photo with Sachin Tendulkar wax statue. Warner was seen dressed in casuals and in a relaxing mood ahead of the second Test against India in Delhi. The southpaw spot is in jeopardy owing to the twin failure he had in the first Test in Nagpur. Not only in this Test, but the veteran opener has failed to get going in sub-continent conditions. The Delhi Test match in all likelihood will make or break Warner’s career. Follow IND vs AUS Live Updates with InsideSport.IN.

IND vs AUS: Mitchell Johnson asks selectors to drop David Warner says Travis Head fits the bill as an opener

Warner’s former teammate Mitchell Johnson called out the selectors and asked them to drop the veteran opener. Notably, Australia’s selectors have already contemplated replacing Travis Head, who was shockingly fired last week, with David Warner as the Test opener in India.

“I would drop David Warner, elevate Matthew Renshaw to open, and bring Travis Head into the middle order,”Johnson wrote in his column in West Australian.

The 36-year-old opener has been averaging 17.8 in 22 innings over the last two years. Famously, Warner has not fared as well in the subcontinent compared to his success at home. In India, he averages 22.16, as opposed to 58.39 at home. It seems Australia are likely to drop Warner for the second Test in Delhi. Cummins is likely to stick on with his trusted opener at least for one more Test.
