Khabib Nurmagomedov video calls Islam Makhachev: UFC News: People in attendance at Perth’s RAC Arena watched a battle that will go down as one of the greatest in UFC history. Islam Makhachev, the light heavyweight champion, fought against Alexander Volkanovski in an effort to surpass him as the top pound-for-pound fighter. Although many people weren’t happy with the outcome, everyone can agree that it was a ruthlessly difficult match between champions. After the fight, there were several reactions, but Lil Wayne and Khabib Nurmagomedov were two of the most prominent. Where the two of them have different reactions, where Khabib congratulated Makhachev on a video call, and Lil Wayne took a shot against him on Twitter.

Khabib Nurmagomedov video calls Islam Makhachev: “No.1 P4P King” made UFC Legend Proud and Lil Wayne Disappointed

Many fans had their doubts when Islam Makhachev joined the fight since it was the first time Khabib did not have him in his corner. For those who don’t know, Makhachev was coached by the Former UFC Champion, who significantly contributed to Makhachev’s success in winning his first title.

He wasn’t present this time, since he had officially retired from sports. But after the battle, Makhachev’s old teammate and coach didn’t fail to congratulate him, calling him the “No. 1 P4P King” on a video call which you can see above. After the fight, they had a brief chat. After all, Khabib was, the driving force behind Islam’s success in addition to Islam’s sincerity to become who he is now.

Lil Wayne, on the other hand, did not share a similar sentiment as he declared after the bout that he is not sure that he would ever watch UFC again. It appears that, like many, he is dissatisfied with the decision of the judges to declare him the victor rather than the Australian fighter.
