Khabib Nurmagomedov supports his teammates ahead of UFC 284
Makhachev’s mentor Nurmagomedov declared that this year, he would play a far less part in fighter cornering and travel. On February 11 at UFC 284 in Perth, Australia, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski (25-1 MMA, 12-0 UFC) will challenge Makhachev (23-1 MMA, 12-1 UFC) for the belt, but “The Eagle” won’t be on his side. Although, Nurmagomedov posted a reel of Makhachev’s weigh-in and face-off ahead of UFC 284 in Australia, showing his support.
Zubaira Tukhugov, another teammate of UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, failed to make weight for UFC 284. The 32-year-old made his lightweight debut at 157.5 pounds. It will go on as planned between him and Elvis Brenner. However, as a consequence of not making weight, Tukhugov will forfeit 30% of his fight pay. Although Khabib Nurmagomedov’s squad is known for its systematic approach to combat, Tukhugov has struggled with weight loss in the run-up to UFC 284.
