WPL 2023 Auction: Women’s IPL Auction – The inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League is slated to be played between March 4-26 this year. As per WPL 2023 schedule, the first match will be played between Team Mumbai and Team Ahmedabad on March 4. Ahead of the auction, all WPL franchises are steadily making announcements as far as their support staff is concerned. Gujarat Giants, UP Warriorz and Mumbai Indians have made some star-studded additions to the side. RCB meanwhile are yet to announce their coaching set up.

Ahmedabad Franchise- Adani Sportsline Pvt Ltd- Gujarat Giants

The Adani owned franchise has roped in U19 World Cup-winning coach Nooshin Al Khadeer as bowling coach, while Australian legend Rachel Haynes takes on head coach duties, The team had already confirmed former captain Mithali Raj as team mentor and advisor.

Lucknow Franchise- Capri Global Holdings Pvt Ltd – UP Warriorz

The Capri Global-owned franchise will be known as UP Warriorz and has appointed England Women’s coach Jon Lewis will be the team’s coach in the inaugural season. Arjuna awardee Anju Jain will be the assistant coach. Former Australian cricketer Ashley Noffke will join the team as the bowling coach.

Delhi Franchise- JSW GMR cricket Pvt Ltd – Delhi Capitals

Jonathan Batty, who coached the Oval Invincibles women’s team to The Hundred titles in 2021 and 2022 has been named the team’s Head Coach. Hemlata Kala will be Batty’s coaching deputy in Capitals team.

Padma Shri and Arjuna Awardee Jhulan Goswami takes on the dual role of the Team Mentor and Bowling Coach. Devieka Palshikaar, an all-rounder, who represented India at the international level, will be the batting coach. Trupti Chandgadkar Bhattacharya will be the Team Manager.
