IND vs AUS: ‘Pitch will play well till we bat’ – Axar Patel takes HILARIOUS dig at Australia for ‘PITCH TALK’ after stunning Half-century in Nagpur – Check out
The pitch at the VCA Stadium dominated headlines before the IND vs AUS 1st Test. Australian players were miffed while many former cricketers and media outlets accused India of ‘doctoring’ the surface. The accusation came after the curators left a patch dry, potentially making it difficult for the left-handers to bat. The visitors have 4 in their top 7, while India had only Jadeja and Axar in their XI.
As it turned out, the pitch was not a rank turner by any means. Australia were shuttled out for 177. India in response are going strong, amassing 321/7 at the end of Day 2. To add to Australia’s dismay, both Jadeja and Axar, India’s only lefties, scored half-centuries. The latter aimed a dig at the opposition during his chat with Sanjay Manjrekar at the end of day’s play.
“Till the time we bat tomorrow the pitch will play well, and when we get the chance to bowl – we’ll find help (laughs),” Axar said.
