WPL 2023 Auction: Women Premier League’s Lucknow franchise will miss their mentor Lisa Sthalekar in the WPL Auction on Feb 13. The reason is that the former India-born Australian cricketer is a commentator for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. The Capri Global-owned franchise will be known as UP Warriorz and has appointed England Women’s coach Jon Lewis will be the team’s coach in the inaugural season. Capri Global Holdings Private Limited bought Lucknow Franchise from WPL Team Auction for a whopping Rs 757 crore. The team is also the first WPL team to unveil its new logo.
UP Warriorz logo unveiled: The logo comprises four components — a rendition of the sarus crane, a sword, wings that extend out like the rays of the sun, and a shield to hold it all together.
