Ravindra Jadeja returned to Team India after an almost six-month gap. He suffered a knee injury during Asia Cup and had to go for surgery. After missing the T20 World Cup, it took him longer than expected to recover completely.
However, there is no sign of his injury after his return. He wrecked Australia’s famed batting line-up, scalping five wickets for 47 runs, bowling 22 overs.
With the bat, he has slammed an unbeaten half-century on Day 2 when established batters like KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav and KS Bharat besides Virat Kohli all fell cheaply.
Jadeja has been in excellent form in Tests at home. In the last three years, he has averaged 77.75, slamming a century and 2 half-centuries in 6 innings. With the ball, he has also scalped 20 wickets in 7 innings at an average of just 14.70.
