Fox Sports has reported that Warner has told his teammates that he may BAT RIGHT-HANDED against some of the Indian bowlers. He’s reportedly told teammates he will go rightie in the Test. Warner may bat RIGHTIE, when batting against India’s two left-arm orthodox spinners in Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel.

IND vs AUS LIVE: David Warner’s SHOCKING ploy for NAGPUR wicket, says ‘can bat RIGHT HANDED against Jadeja & Axar’: Follow LIVE UPDATES

Why Warner can play RIGHT-HANDED? Opener David Warner is mulling a shocking switch to potentially bat right-handed in response to the conditions. It is being called that PITCH will be tough for LEFTIES.

According to EXPERTS, it will be very tough for LEFT-HANDERS to bat on the Nagpur Wicket. The Australian media also has alleged that India has ‘DOCTORED’ the wicket to suit their spinners as Australia has 5 left hander batters in their SQUAD.

This is the reason Warner is planning to play RIGHTIE against some of the Indian bowlers.

If so, it would be a staggering ploy. But Warner once batted a full season of junior cricket right-handed and played brilliantly.

David Warner vs India: Stats show, more than Jadeja or Axar – Warner should be worried about Ravichandran Ashwin. The Indian offie has claimed Warner’s wicket 10 times in just 15 Tests.

Not only this but Warner’s record in India is also not too impressive. He only average 24.25 across 16 TEST innings (eight Tests across the 2013 and 2017 series). He only has three half-centuries with a top score of 71.

What changes Australia will make to Playing XI according to Nagpur wicket?

In response to the pitch favouring right-handers, Victorian batter Peter Handscomb looks set to make his return to the Test team. Handscomb returns after four years in exile. More than his form, he being right-handed should be enough to unseat left-hander Matt Renshaw from the XI.

It is one of three likely changes to the Australian XI, with Scott Boland set to replace the injured Josh Hazlewood.

But perhaps the most intriguing change of all is the likely debut of 22-year-old off-spinner Todd Murphy.

Murphy’s parents reportedly flew to India with his debut looming. If he plays alongside Nathan Lyon, it would be the first time Australia fielded two right-arm offies since Tim May and Peter Taylor on the 1988 tour of Pakistan.
