Tripathi was struggling a bit earlier in his innings. The right-handed batter also evaded a close call. However, he took a liking to Ferguson’s bowling and smashed him for two consecutive boundaries in the final over of the field restrictions. Speaking about the maximum, Tripathi shuffled a bit towards the off-side as he just paddled the delivery towards the fine leg region and the ball sailed over the ropes for a 69 meter boundary.
Tripathi played a blazing innings of 44 runs in just 22 balls which included four fours and three maximums. He got out to Ish Sodhi as Ferguson completed the catch. Shubman Gill also completed a fifty with Suryakumar Yadav playing a brisk knock of 24 runs in just 13 deliveries. The home team will want to post a decent total as the pitch is looking an absolute belter.
