WWE Royal Rumble Results: WWE News: It would be reasonable to claim that the Women’s Royal Rumble was more exciting and entertaining than the Men’s match. WWE inaugurated the Royal Rumble, its first mega-PPV, with a bang at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The 30-man Rumble match opened the show proved to be a stellar opener as Cody Rhodes returned after a 7-month absence and defeated Gunther to come out on top. The women’s Rumble match, however, undoubtedly made the men’s match light since it featured thrilling action, which include Rhea Ripley not only winning the Rumble but also breaking records, a number of superstars making their comebacks, some making their debuts, and the elimination of Chelsea Green. Here are the details of everything interesting that happened at the Women’s Royal Rumble.

Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan both remained in the Women’s Royal Rumble from the beginning to the very end, setting a record for the longest time spent in Rumble by a female wrestler, where both were in the ring for more than 61 minutes.

Rhea Ripley also joined Edge, Chris Benoit, and Shawn Michaels as the only other women to ever win the Royal Rumble from the 1st position in WWE history. Additionally, she set a record for quickest elimination. Chelsea Green, who came into the match at No. 20, was eliminated by Rhea Ripley in a matter of seconds, completely stopping her progress.

While this was happening, we witnessed some NXT superstars enter the Rumble. The NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez arrival to everyone’s amazement at position no. 8. Following her, we saw Zoey Stark in position 13, followed by NXT standout Indi Hartwell and Zoey Stark, who both made an impression in the crowd.

Additionally, the returns of the female superstars as well as Natalya, who made a comeback following her broken nose injury, shocked many. Then Michelle McCool, who was watching from ringside, caught everyone off guard when she entered.

The highlight of the bout, however, was undoubtedly when Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock’s cousin, Nia Jax, made her way into the ring and completely decimated the other 11 female competitors. And it took 11 women, which says a lot, to remove her from the match.

Asuka unexpectedly entered at number 17 by making her WWE debut as the Murder Clown character, despite not having wrestled since December. Many people’s interest in her alone has already been piqued by this persona, so it will be fascinating to see what she does in this character. Meanwhile, she performed a good job in this match, eliminating a few guys before being eliminated.
