ICC ODI Rankings: Rohit Sharma & Co’s happiness to be shortlived, Jos Buttler-led England set to TOPPLE India for World No 1 ODI rank, Follow SA vs ENG LIVE Updates
England were at the top spot a few days back following New Zealand’s loss to India in the second ODI. But currently, they are in the second position after India clean sweep Kiwis. New Zealand have slipped to the fourth spot.
Prior to Tuesday’s match, all three teams were tied on 113 points, with the difference in their overall points serving as the deciding factor.
But according to the most recent results, Australia has moved up into third place with 112 rating points. England are now in second place with 113 rating points, and India are in first place with 114 rating points. New Zealand has 111 points.
England would replace India as the leader in the Men’s ODI rankings if they were to defeat South Africa in their forthcoming series of one-day internationals, 3-0.

England Tour of South Africa
On Friday, January 27, three-match ODI series between England and South Africa will get underway.
The Lions’ batting was a dismal failure in their previous ODI series, which they lost to Australia 3-0.
This series is essential to the Proteas as well, who are hoping for direct qualification to this year’s World Cup in India.
Prior to this, they suffered a 2-0 Test series loss to Australia.
