The Murder news at Snowden House

75-year-old Sally Snowden McKay, and her nephew, musician Joseph “Lee” Baker, 52, were found shot to death inside the old house in 1996, and that was when it all began. They were believed to have startled a burglar, and the suspect, 16-year-old Travis Lewis, shot them out of fear. The house was allegedly then set on fire by him. However, there was no way out, and the youngster, who had been living nearby with his parents, was swiftly detained and accused of the double homicide.

Lewis was given a sentence of 28 and a half years in prison, of which he was required to serve at least 70%. Martha McKay, the kind-hearted daughter of Sally, thought he deserved to be forgiven. After serving 22 years in prison, Lewis was finally released in 2018, and Martha secretly offered him a job.

She had purchased Snowden House from the rest of the family by this point and had relocated there. He had struck again, in the same place, 23 years after killing Martha’s mother, killing the daughter who had so generously pardoned him.
