Sundar has always been known for his all-round performance but the ODI series against New Zealand was not at all impressive. He has scalped only two wickets in three games. With bat also he couldn’t perform as well. He scored only 21 runs in three games. However, he didn’t get to bat in the second ODI.
The all-rounder is now part of the Indian squad for the three-match T20 series and will be looking to make the most of the opportunity given to him. This chance comes at a time when Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out due to an injury and Axar Patel is also out of the team due to his family commitments. This may increase the burden on the young all-rounder.
