Rishabh Pant Accident: Last month, Team India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was returning from Delhi when he was involved in a terrible car accident. His car struck the divider in the wee hours of December 30, causing the accident. Pant sustained multiple injuries in the accident. The most recent development, in this case, involve experts from Mercedes Benz visiting the scene of the accident at Narsan, Roorkee, and inspecting the automobile which caught fire. Pant’s accident happened close to the Hammadpur Jhal neighborhood of Roorkee’s Narsan border.
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe that Pant was driving crashed into the divider and caught fire. He was extricated from the wrecked car, but not before being injured severely, and was then transported to the hospital.
The 25-year-old is currently in Mumbai’s hospital and can be relieved as early as next week.
Rishabh Pant Surgery
On January 08th, Rishabh Pant underwent first of his two surgeries that lasted for close to three hours. The first one was conducted on his knee ligament tear he suffered during the horrific car crash. But he is still set for a lengthy period on the bench as he will have another surgery on his ankle ligament injury.
The sources close to BCCI’s medical team informed InsideSport that doctors at the hospital feel Pant will need a minimum of 8-9 months to make a comeback on the field. This means, not only he will miss IPL 2023 but can also miss Asia Cup 2023 & ODI World CUP in October.
