The incident happened in the 10th over when Hardik Pandya bowled a good-length delivery just outside off to Devon Conway. Conway leaned forward and drilled it low and to the left of the bowler. Hardik was on his followthrough and took a stunning catch with one hand, off his own bowling. No one knew it either, the crowd reacted only after they see the Indian fielders chirping along with the bowler.
Earlier, in the 1st ball of the 7th over Mohammad Shami took a blinder off his own bowling. Shami bowled a good-length delivery. Mitchell was looking to work it to the on-side but jabbed a thick front-edge back at the bowler. Shami was on his followthrough, he clasps his hands to his left and holds onto the blind chance.

Notably, the Indian skipper won the toss and opted to bowl first. Indian bowlers are looking fierce from the first over. As Mohammad Shami clean bowled Finn Allen in the last bowl of the first over. Then in the 6th over Mohammad Siraj sent Henry Nicholls back to the pavilion with his stunning seam delivery.
The first game out of the three-match series, saw the hosts prevail by a margin of 12 runs in a closely contested affair. In the second match at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, team India will be looking to seal the series by winning the second ODI.
