SuryaKumar Yadav Century
Suryakumar Yadav’s heroics helped India defeat Sri Lanka in the T20I series. It was a case of the new year, the same Suryakumar Yadav.
The man known as SKY continued his incredible year from 2022 with a spectacular century in Rajkot, pulling up his hundred off just 45 deliveries.
And in the third and final game of the series, the 32-year-outstanding old’s contribution enabled India to score what ultimately proved to be an unbeatable first-innings total of 228/5.
SKY scored a match-winning 112* off just 51 deliveries, and remained unbeaten. Rohit Sharma’s 35-ball century against the same opposing nation in 2017 holds the record for the fastest T20I men’s ton by an Indian batsman.
The middle-order batter became the first person in game history to score three T20I hundreds while not opening the batting. SKY’s century was his third in the international format in only seven months.
