Cristiano Ronaldo Georgina Rodriguez – Saudi Arabia: Ronaldo’s move to Saudi Arabia and Al-Nassr has not panned out the way he would have been envisioning. He was surely looking to move somewhere in Europe, but when that didn’t work out, Saudi was the destination. After moving here, it was found out that he would miss 2 games due to the ban imposed by the English FA.

The ban was due to his behavior against Everton when he was with Manchester United last season. Then, there were rumors that one foreign player slot would have to be freed for him to be registered with Al-Nassr. Now, it has impacted his family as rumors say that Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez could be in trouble for breaking Saudi law, by living together. Follow all Football LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN

Cristiano Ronaldo BAN: CR7 BANNED from making Al-Nassr debut in Saudi Arabia today, CHECK how sad ‘outburst’ with Manchester United came back to bite Portuguese superstar

Saudi law states that it is illegal for couples to live in the same house without being married. Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have been together since 2016 but are yet to tie the knot. Keeping that in mind, they could be in some murky waters with the Saudi authorities. Although, experts suggest that since it is Ronaldo, it is unlikely that they will be punished by authorities.

According to the Spanish news outlet EFE, since Ronaldo is a marketable athlete and a huge personality, he is unlikely to be punished. Two Saudi lawyers spoke about how the authorities would not get involved with Ronaldo and would let him be. One lawyer said, ‘Although the laws still prohibit cohabitation without a marriage contract, the authorities have begun to turn a blind eye and do not persecute anyone. Of course, these laws are used when there is a problem or a crime.’

Another lawyer had the same opinion, as he said, ‘The Saudi Arabian authorities, today, do not interfere in this matter [in the case of foreigners], but the law continues to prohibit cohabitation outside of marriage.’

Ronaldo, Georgina, and his five children will take some time to get used to Saudi Arabia after spending their time in cities like Madrid, Turin, and Manchester.

The Portuguese’s much-awaited debut will have to wait some more due to his 2-game ban and Al-Nassr’s struggle to register him. We could expect to see Ronaldo on 22nd January against Ettifaq.
