World Cup 2023: Gautam Gambhir’s BIG ADVICE for Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli ahead of ICC World Cup 2023, ‘Take a break from T20s, focus on ODIs’
Gautam Gambhir further spoke on what format the Indian cricketers should focus on in the year 2023, keeping the ODI World Cup in mind. “This year ODI for sure. If they want to take a break, people who play more than three formats, they can definitely take a break from T20 cricket. But, surely not from the ODI format. They got to play together. I think the biggest mistake that Indian cricket has made in the last two World Cups has been that these guys have not played enough of cricket together,” said Gambhir.
Kohli and Rohit are big match-winners and their form is surely going to be key for India’s success at the upcoming ODI WC. Their form has been questioned by experts in recent times. While Kohli hit back at the critics with the bat during the T20 WC in Australia, Rohit’s form was not up to the mark. With the Indian team now starting to get their house in order for the ODI WC in India, Rohit and Kohli would like to strike top form.
