Pandya did what Dhoni or Rohit Couldn’t
Leading Gujarat Titans, Pandya did the unimaginable. Defeating all the odds, Pandya and his team won the coveted IPL trophy after defeating Rajasthan Royals in the final match. Pandya led his team from the front and gave some decent performances with both bat and the ball.
Soon after that, Pandya was named as the Indian skipper to lead the Men in Blue contingent against Ireland. The likes of Deepak Hooda and Umran Malik flourished under Pandya’s captaincy and gave their best. To note, Hooda scored his maiden T20I century and the express pacer from Jammu and Kashmir showed what he is capable of bowling at 145KMph regularly.

Even though the Men in Blue failed to reach the finals, Pandya brought smiles to millions of Indian fans as they had a peaceful sleep knowing “INDIA WON against PAKISTAN”.
Pandya the Future Captain?
With Rohit and Kohli enjoying New Year holidays, Pandya is looking the prominent to contender to lead the Indian side. The star all-rounder will be leading the Indian contingent against SriLanka to boost his captaincy records.
To note, the home team will be without some of their senior players including Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja, but the home side will look to get past against a meek-looking SriLanka side.
