Skyesports Founder, Shiva Nandy reassures the eSports community of a possible return of the title

Here’s what he has to say regarding the possible unban.

It was not an immediate action. It was almost in the process for five months. In fact, one week before removing the game from the Google Play Store, one interim notice was sent to Krafton Head Quarters by GOI. Two days before the game got removed, we got the hint and stopped most of the advance amount to be paid for Skyesports league, LAN in Delhi.

” since a lot of them are texting me often, I cannot reply to everyone individually. I will post soon about everything you are asking when it’s materialized. But don’t panic. Scout might be right. The game might not come before December, but it will come for sure, ” he added.

Meanwhile, Nandy also feels that the recognition is a big step that will help the industry to flourish in the coming months and years.

The inclusion of Esports under the Government of India (Allocation of Business Rules) is a big step to the widespread acceptance of the industry. It is also a very positive sign for the growth of Indian Esports and for a medal-winning approach. Furthermore, the GOI has displayed an understanding of what Esports is by allocating it under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. I’m confident that in the coming years we will be able to create an ecosystem where we can train young talent for esports just like we do for other sports.
