Bellator-RIZN plans to compete straight with the UFC
Nobuyuki Sakakibara, CEO of RIZIN, recently stated that the UFC is the most dominating MMA organization worldwide. The 59-year-old Japanese businessman, though, thinks that the UFC’s hegemony will finally come to an end with his forthcoming event in association with Bellator.
Five of RIZIN and Bellator’s top fighters will square off against one another at a cross-promotion mega event in Japan on New Year’s Eve, which is a significant holiday there. In his later years, Sakakibara, one year younger than Scott Coker, who founded Bellator, intends to build a lasting legacy with his American counterpart. Recently, the MMA promoter stated in a video posted to Twitter:

UFC news round-up: Stephen Bonnar’s last video before death revealed
The American Psycho, a UFC Hall of Famer, is no longer alive. According to reports, the 45-year-old passed away due to certain heart issues. The UFC community honored Stephan Bonnar for his contributions to the sport and for providing fans with enjoyment during his prime. Fans worldwide are heartbroken by Bonnar’s tragic death at such a young age.
Before his passing, Bonnar created an emotive video. He had discussed the issues that had gotten worse because of his condition. The boxer didn’t have the intimidating appearance that spectators were accustomed to seeing in the cage; instead, they saw an emaciated, frail person. He also discussed how he was turned away from services and treatment because he was perceived as an alcoholic by the authorities.
Fighters punished at Khabib Nurmagomedov gym
Khabib Nurmagomedov seems to be trying to establish in his gym’s students a degree of discipline comparable to his own. A recent video shows fighters who train at Nurmagomedov’s camp getting “punished” for not adhering to strict hair rules. Anyone whose hair was thought to be too long was hit with a long bamboo stick by the coach, who was observed checking the students’ hair at the gym.
