Mehidy Hasan single-handedly kept Bangladesh in the hunt but couldn’t see his team through to victory on Sunday. Such was his performance that following the match, Indian stars went over to congratulate him. Meanwhile, Kohli encouraged Mehidy Hasan despite a heart-shattering loss as he gifted his jersey to the man of the moment.

India resumed Day 4 with 45/4 and still needing 100 runs to win. However, they were off to a disastrous start. Jaydev Unadkat, Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel departed adding just 29 runs. It was Mehidy Hasan Miraz who wreaked havoc. His fifer kept Bangladesh in the match.
Ashwin went on to score an unbeaten 42. Iyer scored an unbeaten 29. With the win, India have kept their unbeaten run in Tests intact against Bangladesh.
In the ODI series, Mehidy Hasan starred to help Bangladesh to a win the in the first two ODIs. He batted with the tail to seal a 1-wicket win scoring an unbeaten 38. He followed it up with a maiden ODI century to hand India a humiliating series defeat.
