January: Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey made her return to the Royal Rumble premium live event in January. She defeated Charlotte Flair in the women’s Royal Rumble match, earning a world championship match at WrestleMania 2022. February: Brock Lesnar’s brutal F-5 on Austin Theory from the top of the glass structure was the best moment of February. By entering the match last, the Beast incarnate went on a rampage in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match that day. He brutally assaulted Austin Theory, the last survivor who was alone with him. However, Lesnar benefited from Bobby Lashley’s injury earlier in the match.

March: Bianca Belair made a statement on Monday Night RAW on March 28, 2022, ahead of her match against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38. Belair was attacked from behind after recovering from a throat injury by the Man, who pulled out a pair of scissors and attempted to cut off the former braid. Belair, on the other hand, turned the fight around with two back-to-back KODs and gave Becky Lynch a taste of her own medicine by chopping off her hair.

April: The greatest WrestleMania match of all time was featured at this year’s WrestleMania. It was a battle between Brock Lesnar, the Beast Incarnate, and Roman Reigns, the Tribal Chief. In the end, the Bloodline leader triumphed with a spear, becoming the undisputed WWE Universal Champion by unifying the two world titles.

May: In the month of May 2022, the Usos followed the path of their cousin Roman Reigns as they unified the WWE tag team championships. They defeated the duo of Randy Orton and Matt Riddle to achieve the prestigious feat. However, they were helped by Paul Heyman and Roman reigns in the bout which resulted in Jey Uso hitting a frog splash on Riddle to secure the pinfall.
June: The best moment from the month of June came at the Hell in a Cell premium live event as Cody Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins despite battling with a torn pectoral muscle. The match ended with Cody Rhodes hitting Seth Rollins with two consecutive Cross Rhodes followed by a Sledge Hammer shot to pick up the win inside the steel structure. It marked the American Nightmare’s third straight victory over Seth Rollins since returning to WWE at WrestleMania 38.

July: WWE Summerslam, the summer’s biggest event, was held in July by the global juggernaut. Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns competed in a last-man-standing match in the main event. During the match, Lesnar used a tractor to lift the WWE ring and knock Roman Reigns to the ground. It was, without a doubt, the best moment of July.

August: On a Monday Night RAW episode in August, Seth Rollins crossed the line by bringing up Riddle’s personal issues on camera. Rollins mentioned Riddle’s wife divorcing him, which enraged the latter and made him threaten to smash him. He also made light of the fact that Riddle no longer has a family.

September: At WWE Clash at the Castle Rey Mysterio teamed up with Edge to defeat the Judgment Day in a tag team contest. But the major shock came after the match when Dominik Mysterio turned on Edge and Rey Mysterio. He hit his father with a massive clothesline which was much similar to what Eddie Guererro did to the lucha legend years back.
October: Bray Wyatt made an emphatic return at the Extreme Rules premium live event after weeks of cryptic teasers. It was repoted by Stephanie McMahon that WWE hired a horror writer to plot Bray Wyatt’s return which kept the viewers guessing for weeks. The former world champion’s return boosted the viewership of the event by a huge margin.

November: Sami Zayn proved his loyalty to the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns in the month of November at Survivor Series WarGames. The event saw Sami and the Bloodline take on Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre and the Brawling Brutes. Sami’s long time friend KO proved out to be domninant but Sami hit him with a low blow to turn the tide.

December: Ricochet won the SmackDown World Cup in the final, defeating Santos Escobar. He kicked Santos in the face before hitting him with the double rotation moonsault to win. The victory qualified him for Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship.
