In the video uploaded by Gill, the opening batter can be heard saying ‘France Supporter hai’ to Rahul to which Rahul replies that he is a ‘Messi supporter’. Much to Rahul’s delight, the Argentina star converts the penalty opportunity to a goal as Argentina opened their account in the final game.

On Sunday morning, the Indian team beat Bangladesh by 188 runs in the first Test in Chattogram. KL Rahul, India’s stand-in skipper for this game, attended the presser where he was asked to predict the winner of the FIFA World Cup final, and how his team will be watching the mega clash between two former winners France and Argentina.
Answering to that question, KL said, “Whichever team we were supporting are all out already. There were few Brazil fans, there were few England fans. So, I don’t really know who an Argentina or France supporter is, so we’ll just enjoy the game. We’re watching the game together, and we’ll have a good meal.

Apart from the Indian team, several players also watched the match. Mohammad Shami and Yuzvendra Chahal who are not part of the Indian Test squad also watched the final encounter between Argentina and France. The Indian leg-spinner Chahal hinted that he is supporting Argentina in the final encounter.
