Recently, LA Knight was interviewed by USA Insider when he recalled being part of the prestigious Million Dollar Championship. Initially, he mentioned his joy for being a part of the prestigious title who has only been passed to a handful of wrestlers.

“I mean bringing back Ted Dibiase’s Million Dollar Championship … I mean that’s crazy! It’s a championship that only what, maybe five or six guys in total have ever held and now you’re being told that it’s going to be introduced and up for grabs — that was pretty wild. Then you go into the fall and the winter and all of a sudden the crowd is starting to jump on my side. It was just a good, amazing ride. It was quick, it was only a year, but man, “NXT” is something I’m going to remember for a long time.” [H/T Wrestling Inc]

Back in 2021, LA Knight and Cameron Grimes feuded on the NXT brand for the Million Dollar championship where both men had an equal chance of winning it. Knight’s reign lasted for 70 days until he lost the title to Grimes in a rematch. At NXT Takeover 36, he lost the title to Grimes thus ending the Million Dollar Championship’s reign on the NXT roster. Later, WWE quietly removed the title from their website naming Grimes as the former champion.
