Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will conduct trial for bowlers at B Ground of Ekana Stadium from 9am on December 18. The age criteria for players is 19-26 years. Candidates may apply online from LSG’s page on Instagram and must bring their valid ID card. Only players from Lucknow will be considered for the trial. Manager of Lucknow Super Giant Sanjay Kishore said, “Trials are being conducted in Lucknow but after some time we will do it in other cities too.”
Vikas Singh, a left arm spinner from Indiranagar locality of Lucknow, told Insidesport: “It’s a golden opportunity for Lucknowites. When this franchise took shape, I was sure that it would bring good times for talented players from Lucknow.
“I got the information about LSG trials from one of my friends. I have been working hard on my bowling skills. Hope I can catch some eyes during my trials,” said Shivam Awasthi a citizen of Lucknow.
LSG to target Mayank Agarwal
The Super Giants did not have a solid number three during their fourth finish in IPL 2022 season. They tried as many as six players at three, but none could get going. Mayank Agrawal can be their best bet in the IPL mini-auction. He can bat aggressively, as well as drop anchor when either of the openers KL Rahul or Quinton de Kock fails at the top. Agarwal had a dismal season in IPL 2022 with PBKS, and the veteran will be keen to prove a point.
