Jagadeesan continues his good form with the bat
Coming as the leading run-scorer in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Jagadeesan continued his good form in the Ranji Trophy as well. Opening the batting for Tamil Nadu, the wicketkeeper-batter scored 116 runs in just 96 deliveries. The right-handed batter also stroked 16 fours and three maximums in his innings. To note, he was also the highest-run-getter in the Vijay Hazare Trophy with 830 runs to his name in just eight games
CSK to reinvest in Jagadeesan? With Uthappa announcing retirement from all forms of Indian cricket, CSK will have a big hole in their top order and the team management shall go hunting for a solid Indian batter into the forthcoming IPL auction. The Chennai franchise could even consider reinvesting in Jagadeesan to bolster their batting lineup.
