Abhimanyu Easwaran is a well-known name in the Indian domestic circuit. He currently plies his trade with the Bengal Ranji team. The 25-year-old top-order batsman has been consistently performing on the domestic circuit over the years. He had the opportunity to lead the Bengal team on multiple occasions.
According to Sportstar report, Easwaran first came to Kolkata with his father when he was just 11 years old. Coached by Nirmalya Sengupta, the opening batsman played in a lot of local tournaments and got selected in the U-16 and U-19 teams of Bengal. He eventually made his Ranji Trophy debut and later became captain of Bengal. After making the Ranji team the Dehradun-born cricketer has been knocking on the selectors’ door by consistently scoring runs in the domestic circuit.

Easwaran was first called into the Indian squad for the World Test Championship Final last year played between India and New Zealand. He was named as one of the four standby players for the WTC. The opener captained the Bengal team to the 2019-20 Ranji Trophy only to come up short against Saurashtra.
