Virat Kohli Haris Rauf: Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf believes that no batter except Virat Kohli could have struck him for those 2 sixes in the T20 World Cup match on October 23 at the MCG. The two sixes Virat Kohli hit off Rauf hold a unique place in Indian cricket lore. While both sixes were equally significant, nobody expected the first one, which was smashed straight down the ground over the bowler’s head. Fans were at a loss for words while praising the brilliance of India’s talismanic batter, who almost single-handedly rescued victory from the jaws of defeat. In an interview, the Pakistani speedster stated that he was not unhappy because Kohli is a top-tier player and has played strokes of this kind in the past as well. No other batter in the world could have struck Kohli for a straight six in the manner the former India captain did, according to Rauf, who also claimed that what Kohli accomplished showed his extreme quality.
“The way he [Kohli] played in the World Cup, that is his class, we all know the types of shots he plays. And the way he hit those sixes, I don’t think any other player can hit a shot like that off my bowling,” Rauf told Pakistan news outlet Cricwick.
“I had no idea that he Kohli can hit me down the ground off that length. So when he hit that shot off me, that’s his class. My plan and execution was fine but that shot was all class,” he added.

Rauf said that since those hits came off his willow and he was in a class by himself compared to everyone else that night, he wasn’t that furious after Kohli destroyed what could have been a spectacular over. He would have been furious with himself if those shots had come from the bat of Dinesh Karthik or Hardik Pandya.
“If Dinesh Karthik or Hardik Pandya would’ve hit those sixes, I would’ve been hurting but those came off Kohli’s bat and he is a different class altogether,” he added.
India won the match by four wickets as a result of Kohli’s performance. Eventually, in the end, India lost against England in the semifinals and were eliminated, while Pakistan advanced to the final and finished in second place.
