After being outclassed by “Bon Gamin” in the first two rounds, the veteran of Cameroonian mixed martial arts (MMA) stated what was going through his mind: “I realized I was going to lose after the second round. One of the Francis team members claimed that after the first two rounds, they asked the heavyweight champion to brace. He stated: “After the second round, we instructed him to pick up, and that is when things started to shift. Francis rose to prominence as both the greatest mixed martial artist and puncher in history.”
And he said, “Francis collects a kick that Gane threw, and you start talking about the Michael Jordan slam dunk competition of the century. Like Michael Jordan, he just dunked his opponent after catching his legs.”

In another video segment, the heavyweight talked about his belief that he would have lost all of his achievements, notoriety, and attraction if he had lost to Ciryl Gane in the UFC 270 main event. Many people supported Gane, Francis Ngannou’s former partner, and a top-tier fighter with a high IQ, in his effort to deprive Ngannou of the heavyweight title.
Francis Ngannou: UFC heavyweight champion hailed for ‘Michael Jordan Dunk’ in his last title defense against Ciryl GaneFrancis Ngannou stated, “After the battle, I started to feel hatred instead of happiness. Oh, how this entire situation enraged me. Those are too emotionally charged moments. They wanted to ruin me and tried to f**k me up, so yeah. What if I hadn’t prevailed in the battle? Oh no, that’s okay. I should have said that. It wouldn’t be like he had just recently suffered a defeat, as fighters do. Even if the war had been won, there would still have been drama.
