With Road to WrestleMania coming near, WWE fans are eagerly waiting to see who will face Roman Reigns. Recently, former WWE Superstar Tommy Dreamer picked a dream opponent for the Undisputed Universal Champion for WrestleMania 39. He named no other than the reigning Intercontinental Champion Gunther.
Recently, Tommy Dreamer appeared on the Busted Open podcast, where he mentioned the main roster has fewer noteworthy opponents to face Roman Reigns after his recent victory at WWE Crown Jewel. On the other hand, he praised the match between Gunther and Rey Mysterio and picked him as his dream opponent for the Tribal Chief.
“It was great [Gunther vs. Rey Mysterio]. It helped Gunther because we’re talking about Roman Reigns. We’re talking about Logan Paul. If Roman Reigns beats him, eventually — then I say the person they have to go to is Gunther versus Roman at ‘Mania. Because then I’m like, ‘Who else can do it?’ And I don’t know who else can do it.” [H/T Sportskeeda]
WWE News: Gunther hints at a possible storyline Roman Reigns
Earlier this year, Gunther made his main roster debut and later captured the Intercontinental Title from Ricochet. Since then, the reign of terror continued for the Ring General, decimating each opponent he faced. Surprisingly, Gunther has an interest in a possible storyline with Roman Reigns.
During an interview in August, the Intercontinental Champion appeared in an interview with WittyWhittier where he chose Roman Reigns when asked about a potential storyline. “I don’t have a list for that, but let’s say it’s Roman Reigns. Yes,” said Gunther.

Recently, Gunther defeated Rey Mysterio to retain his Intercontinental Title on WWE SmackDown. Soon, he will face the winner of the ongoing SmackDown World Cup for the Intercontinental Title.
