Bihar will have their task cut-out against the most successful team in the competition. TN have won the title in 2002-03, 2004-05, 2008-09, 2009-10, and 2016-17. They also reached the final match of the Vijay Hazare 2021 but suffered a defeat against the defending champions Himachal Pradesh. The likes of Baba Indrajith, Washington Sundar and Sandeep Warrier might play a crucial role in their team’s campaign in the tournament.

On the other hand, Bihar finished on the sixth spot in SMAT 2022 after winning just one game in their group-stage clash. They will look to give a tough fight to Tamil Nadu and try to earn some vital points to get their season going.

Vidarbha managed to clinch that encounter by a mere margin of one run and entered the semi-final stage. Vidarbha has announced a strong squad for the tournament with the likes of Faiz Fazal, Jitesh Sharma and Akshay Vadkar leading the team.

They are expected to put up a strong fight against a strong squad like Delhi. Speaking about Delhi, they will be missing the services of their star opener Shikhar Dhawan who has been given the charge to lead the Indian team in New Zealand. However, the likes of Ayush Badoni, Nitish Rana and Lalit Yadav will look to fill the void of their senior opening batter.

Sachin Baby is set to lead Kerala in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Sachin has been named captain in the absence of Sanju Samson who has been picked in the Indian team for the New Zealand tour. Opener Rahul P will be Sachin’s deputy in the 17-member squad.

Haryana on the other hand will want their senior players including Mohit Sharma, Chaitnya Bishnoi, Rahul Tewatia and Sumit Kumar to be on top of their game to bear Kerala. Both sides have met only once in the competition in 2015 with Haryana winning the contest by nine runs.
